Are you a Slow Fashionista Fellow?
You are excited about educating yourself and others on sustainability-related topics
You are not afraid to admit when your knowledge is lacking and relish the opportunity to do some research
You are open to learn and grow by checking in monthly with a team of fellow ambassadors
What You’ll Gain:
A chance to learn and work with amazing ambassadors across the nation working towards a slow fashion industry and national policy work, such as The Fashion Act
The opportunity to have your content shared on a national scale, with the potential to be shared across our entire global movement
The ability to learn about slow fashion on a global, national, and local level through an intersectional lens
A chance to develop your leadership, campaigning, and organizing skills in slow fashion and environmental work by helping build this national team from the ground up
A strong reference for future job applications and the opportunity to build your work portfolio for future job openings
What To Expect:
A 3-5 hour commitment a week for either three or six months
Monthly fellowship meetings via Google Meets to discuss projects, timelines, and slow fashion
1:1 mentorship and support from team leads and long-standing ambassadors
Monthly SFUSA meetings in your respective team
Communication from Slack, group chats, and global SFM Whatsapp group
Requirements:
Must be comfortable working remotely and independently
Proficient in Google Workspace: Meets, Calendar and Docs
Experience working with Canva is a plus, but not required
Fellowship Concentrations:
Digital Outreach Track (1 opening)
Digital Trainer Track (2 openings)
Policy and Legislation Track ( 2 openings)
Program Description
This is a Track A (6-month commitment) or Track B (3-month commitment) fellowship, unpaid and fully remote open to all US residents.
Time Investment: 3-5 hours/week
